過去のno concept but…まとめ

webのアーカイブを覗いていたら、大昔に郷(ez2go)さんとアスカ(コッペ先生)さんと3人でやっていたイベント「no concept but…」のセットリストが残っているのを発見したので記録しておく。

確かvol.13くらいまではやっていた記憶ですが、記録が残っているのは以下の回しかなかった。
後、開催日の西暦が定かじゃなくて、1年ズレているかもだけれど。
(2002年→2001年、と一年前だったかも…)

ほとんどやっていることが一緒で、レパートリーを増やさねばな、と思った次第ですw

こうして過去2回の選曲を振り返ってみると、むしろ普段のイベントよりも一般向けな選曲になっている気がする。自分で何でこの選曲にしたのかまるで思い出せないけれど…。

春先からイベントやらwebサイトの更新やらで、少し音楽を聴き過ぎたみたい。
持病の難聴が悪化して、耳鳴りとかめまいとかが強くなってしまって。

しばらくライブとかイベントはお休みで、音楽を聴くのも最小限にして、耳を休めることにしました。


で、やることないので、放置していたmixiアカウントの日記を見たりして。
どうでもいい日記群の中に、リメンバの過去セットリストを記録しているのを発見！

これはサルベージしておかなくては！(なんで？)と思った次第です。

6月はフル稼働

本日、bergamot romanceのお二人(WAKAKOさんと高口大輔さん)にインタビューをおこなったものをwebサイトにて公開しました。

先週の日曜日、6/21には、北欧ポップス特集20枚をアップしました。

更新備忘録を書くヒマがないくらい、webサイトの更新作業を頑張っています(僕基準で)。

で、今も今週末にアップする予定のレビューを書いている途中です。
前回の備忘録でも書いたけれど、レビューするために聴き返す作業が楽しくて…。

あと、Spotifyを検索して「サブスクにあるんだ」みたいな発見もあったりして…。

止まらなくなってきました。

とか、言いつつ7月になったら、パタッと止まるかもしれませんがw

更新備忘録をサボっていただけで、更新作業を週一ペースで続けています。

リライトしたり、新規追加したりして、書きあげました。

ある日誰かが、フラッと見つけたときに、ネオアコ ギターポップに興味を持ってもらえるといいな、と思って。

レビューを書くって、もちろん「読んでくれる誰か」のためなんだけれど、自分にも恩恵があって。
名盤や定番って、既に自分の頭の中に取り込んでいる(つもり)から、なかなか聴き返すことってなかったりするんですよね。

でも、こうしてレビューするために改めて聴き返したりしていると「あー、やっぱ好き！」みたいな感動を得られるというかw
大事な作業だな、と思った次第です。


さて、次は何をリライトしてアップしようか。
週末までに考えよ。

旧サイトからの移管作業を少しずつ

GW辺りから旧webサイトからの移管作業を再開しています。
休みの日を利用して、少しずつ。

なぜ再開したのかといえば、見失いかけていた目的が定まったような気がしたから。

このサブスク全盛の時代に、個人サイトでレビューするのなんて意味ないよな、と思っていました。いや、実際「ほとんど」意味は無いんですけれどね。
だって、ほとんどの人にとって、サブスクのアルゴリズムがおススメしてくれてるバンドを聴いていくだけで、満足しちゃいますし。

では、なぜやる気を出しているのかというと、メチャクチャ素晴らしい内容なのにサブスクに無いってだけで、埋もれてしまう作品が少なくないな、と気が付いたから。

あと日本語の一次情報が「ジオシティーズ」の閉鎖によって、凄く少なくなってきている気がしたから。

今は必要とされていなくても、書いておけば「未来の誰か」に届くかもな、と思ったんです。(カッケぇ！)


だって、Tykoの"Transmissions From The Biosphere"なんて、サブスクにもなければ、(違法ですら)youtubeにもフルで上がっていないんですよ。僕、Tyko大好きなので、「このバンドが埋もれるのはイヤだ」と強く思った次第です。


と言うことで、GWから大昔にフリペで書いたインタビュー記事やコラムの他、旧webサイトから「US-indie pop特集」や「シューゲイザー特集」をせっせとリライトして掲載しています。

全部、移管できるのいつ頃だろう？僕のやる気がどこまで持つだろう？
ここを読んでいる人なんか、ほぼいないだろうけれど、乞うご期待ください。

bergamot romanceのliveを見に、「PPR vol.16」へ行ってきました。

5/23(土)18:00より高円寺Green Appleにて行われた「Power Pop Revival vol.16」へ、bergamot romanceのライブを見に行ってきました。

彼らのライブを見るのは、3月に七針で行われた「とうきょうギャラクシー」以来、２ヶ月ぶり(3回目)。＜甲子園的な

またしても僕の仕事日でもある土曜日の開催...w

Vo.を務めるWAKAKOさんの別ユニットmini fablesのライブ時には迷っていた僕が懐かしいですね。

今回のライブは即決で参加を決め、(例によって)2時間ほど有休を申請して準備万端。
仕事を済ませ、OPENに間に合うよう高円寺へ向かいました。

18:00前に、現地到着。
入り口前でOPENを待っていると、店内からbergamot romanceのリハの音が漏れてきていて、得した気分w

18:00ちょい押しで、開場。
まずはDJタイム。

DJお二方ともステキな選曲で、素晴らしかった(ファッションも)。
流れる音楽を聴きながら、お知り合いの方々とおしゃべりしつつライブを待つ。


18:40頃にbergamot romanceの演奏スタート！
1曲目の"spring swan"のシューゲ全開ver.がカッコ良過ぎで、「これを見ない選択肢はないな」と有休を取った自分を褒めてあげた。

アルバムCDのエレガントさとは打って変わって、フル編成のバンドサウンドがとにかくカッコよい！(Power Pop Revival仕様とでも言いましょうか)

新メンバーのドラムの方、お馴染みのギターのキモトさん、ベースのオイカワさんのサポートに徹するプレイに唸らされる。

そして主役のお二人。
バンドサウンドにも、WAKAKOさんのVo.は良く映える。
高口さんの"沈黙のあいだ"でのギターがカッコ良過ぎる。


...たった30分だったけれど、大大大満足。
開場が押した分、ライブの終わり時間も押したので、後ろ髪惹かれつつもダッシュで会場を後にして仕事に戻る...。


次のライブも絶対に行こう、と心に誓ったのでした。
